Are you interested in SSI? Our FAQs help you learn more about us and our work.
Is there a way to determine whether the subscription model is right for me?
As the only software development company in the world, we offer our customers a trial week or a trial month with our developers at special conditions. Our goal is for our customers to choose us because we do excellent work and not because we bind them to contracts.
What is the minimum number of employees I need to book?
Even the smallest team can be booked and flexibly adjusted in size within a week. Book your free appointment quickly and easily and together we will find the perfect solution for you.
Is it possible to book developers for ongoing service purposes as well?
We not only deliver consultants, architects, software developers and testers, but also DevOps, SecOps and MLOps. In principle, a developer can also provide long-term service and maintenance for their code. It is a question of the duration of the contract. As soon as complex applications can be supported even within certain response times, our customers are happy to split up the development team and set up a service and support team to form the development team. The support team often consists of DevOps and backend developers for “1st level support” and “2nd level support.” Such a service and support team relieves the development team, which then takes over 3rd level support and can otherwise concentrate on further development. Startups usually tend to use their developers for product development as well as for service and support purposes - that is absolutely “ok”. Large customers have also booked 24/7 service and support resources with us so that an employee is available around the clock and ensures the operation of the application.
How do you get to the teams?
We have and operate our own SSI software development centers around the world. There we have a “pool” of employees, currently around 500 architects, developers and testers. We take what our customers need from this “pool” and put together individual teams. If we don't have expertise in the pool, our HR department searches for the right employee and we then hire him at our development center.
How is IP secured for customers?
The terms of the contract set out our obligation to secure intellectual property. We review resources and carry out background checks. Your contract includes a confidentiality clause. The teams do not discuss any protected customer information with each other.
What is SSI's data security protocol?
Our office is secured around the clock by security personnel, access is controlled by biometric verification and everything is logged. Security cameras record all activities. The computers are password protected and only authorized persons have access. Servers and server rooms are locked and only authorized personnel have access. The activities on the removable drives of all computers — if available at all — are monitored and logged. Server rooms/cloud infrastructure are secured behind firewalls.
Do you also have AI experts?
Yes, we also have data scientists who work with the latest AI technologies, depending on whether we analyze processes, recognize images or work with speech and text.
Is your code easy for my own employees to understand?
All of our developers generally use “clean code” or similar principles to create intuitive, understandable and easy-to-modify code. As best practices, we use different processes and tools depending on technology, architecture, and development frameworks. “Clean Code” with KISS and DRY principles is pretty “old” but we like to use it for front-end and app development, e.g. with IONOS. This is decided by the customer, as it fits into their technology and tool landscape. We are also happy to make a recommendation. In doing so, we usually also agree on code analysis tools, such as the “ReSharper”, which monitors whether the developers have met these requirements as soon as they check in. Whether this happens manually or automatically depends on whether the customer needs a highly automated “continuous integration” or “continuous deployment” with “nightly builds,” or whether we are still testing the result together with the Sprint Review Meetings. In such highly automated deployments, static and dynamic code analysis becomes part of test automation. For small projects, however, you can of course base this as a principle for developers.
