About “cps YouGov”
Consumer Panel Services GfK is a former GfK company and has been part of the YouGov Group since 2024. For 60 years, the pioneer in consumer research has been helping the world's most famous FMCG and retail brands plan, track and implement their product, advertising and retail strategies flexibly, quickly and with absolute certainty.
Consumer Panel Services GfK (hereinafter referred to as CPS) provides important information about who (not) buys what, where, how much, how often and why. With high-quality, seamless data, advice and expertise, they help customers provide a first-class customer experience at every stage of the shopper journey. CPS does this with advice, expertise, and access to their secure, cutting-edge source of consumer data based on a loyal, ever-growing number of panel members.
CPS observes continuous buyer behavior at various purchasing locations and is thus able to measure its influence. Motivations, behaviours and patterns in the past, present and future — CPS customers receive comprehensive and detailed insight into the complex purchasing behavior and actions of their customers. Based on these principles, they can identify trends and changing consumer behavior at an early stage and react to them.

challenge
In order to future-proof the collection of sensitive consumer data, a existing legacy application our customer cps YouGov will be urgently replaced for technical reasons and replaced by a web-based tool.
To collect consumer data, which forms the basis for data evaluation with the help of so-called consumer panels, CPS uses an application called ECPO with over 60,000 users, which is administered via a separate application called “Dunamis”. However, Dunamis' range of functions goes far beyond simple administration and also includes a complex content management system (CMS) of the questionnaires used.
The existing legacy application had to be urgently replaced for technical reasons. It should also be “upgraded” from a.NET client to a web-based tool and an existing Angular customer template should be reused for a uniform look and feel.

The role of SSI
To the Modernize the legacy application during operation ensure that SSI has developed a holistic concept. It ensured the smooth migration of functions from the proprietary Dunamis CMS application to the new Dunamis Web tool. The approach was consistently agile. That's how it was possible to carefully improve existing application processes and phase out features that are no longer required. By integrating the familiar Angular template, the usual look & feel could be retained. In addition to pure code, legacy modernization through SSI also includes services such as software architecture, Support, documentation, and security validation (Penetration test).

Administrators from Germany, Poland, Austria, Romania and other countries are very impressed by the new solution. They use the tool intensively and effectively on a daily basis.
